We all love to eat, but we don’t always have time to cook big meals or shop for lots of ingredients. MHACY has the answer. A cookbook filled with easy, healthy recipes that don’t require a shopping cart full of ingredients to prepare.
Scrappy Chef Leslie Lampert, Founder of Ladle of Love and Love on The Run Catering, paid a visit to MHACY on a recent Town Hall/Facebook Live to show us all how to make Scrappy Paella. Not only was it easy to make, but she showed us how to repurpose the leftovers into a different meal for the next day. Save time and money!
Wilson Kimball, CEO and President of MHACY, decided that she liked the idea so much that MHACY is going to create its own cookbook and is asking residents to contribute their favorite, easy recipes. We are looking for about 100 recipes for the cookbook. The only requirement is that they contain a small number of ingredients and use things that most of us have around the house, and that the serving size not be too large (there’s only so many leftovers you can eat!) If we get enough recipes, we hope to sell the cookbooks to raise funds for MHACY activities.
So if you have a recipe that fits the bill, please share it on our Facebook Page. See how Leslie Lampert prepares Scrappy Paella and other scrappy cooking tips here.
