MHACY is committed to the fair and equitable treatment of all persons or firms involved in procurement and purchasing by the Authority. Via policy MHACY endeavors to assure that all supplies, services, materials and construction are procured efficiently, effectively and at the most favorable prices available.
In furtherance of these goals MHACY from time to time issues a Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) and/or a Request for Proposals (“RFP”). An RFQ is issued in the pre-qualification stage of the procurement process. Only those proponents who successfully respond to the RFQ and meet the qualification criteria will be included in the subsequent Request for Proposals (RFP) solicitation process. An RFP is a type of bidding solicitation in which MHACY announces that funding is available for a particular project or program, and companies can place bids for the project’s completion.
