Ride Share 511

511NY Ride Share is a program run by the New York State Department of Transportation and offers a variety of opportunities to carpool and share rides saving money and helping to reduce our carbon footprint by reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality.

511NY Rideshare members have reduced more than 166,194 tons of CO2 emissions by making sustainable travel choices.

Their ridematching platform allows you to find commuters close to your home or work address, or those along your route. The Great Saw Mill River Cleanup

On April 24, Groundwork Hudson Valley will participate in the Great Saw Mill River Cleanup. Every year, hundreds of volunteers join the Saw Mill River Coalition to haul out tons of trash and debris, leaving the river cleaner and free-flowing for the critters and human folk to enjoy. Volunteers choose from nine sites in Yonkers, Irvington, Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, and Hastings each April around Earth Day to make a major impact on the health of the river. Bring the family and help make our waterways clean. For more information visit https://www.groundworkhv.org/
